Three beliefs that colour the way I work with my clients:

I believe…

Our thinking and behaviour evolve with every new conversation and experience. We’re always changing, constantly in motion.

I believe…

In mental health, symptoms and diagnoses often reflect some of our best efforts to adapt in the places we grew up in.

I believe…

There is a quiet sanctuary in each of us—a place to return to when life feels too much. Therapy can help us to find this.

Get to know me

My secret talent:
I can turn the simplest board game into a comedy of errors, but I love them all the same.

What’s it like to be in a room with me?
People often describe me as warm, genuine, and polite. I’m respectful in my approach, but also comfortable using humour—when appropriate—to help build connection. I genuinely love this work and value the theories behind it, but how and when we use them is a shared decision between me and my clients.

Finding the right fit matters, and I really value open, honest feedback. I encourage people to shape the process in a way that feels empowering. As an eclectic practitioner, I don’t believe in rigid, one-size-fits-all approaches. I’ve trained across a range of modalities and work flexibly and creatively to find what’s most supportive for each person—because none of us are templates.

What’s my non-negotiable when it comes to taking care of my own mental health?
My only real non-negotiable is setting aside the time. What I use it for changes based on my mood—it might be a cold swim, catching up with a friend, going to the gym, or listening to a podcast and learning something new.

My life motto:
“Nothing exists in isolation.”

My background and experience

I have seven years of experience in the mental health and welfare sectors, including the past four years working in public mental health. During this time, I’ve supported people through therapy roles and positions that combine therapy with broader case management.

In my current role outside of IMCP, I’m a senior mental health clinician. I supervise and support a team of counsellors and therapists, and oversee one of the service’s key programs, which provides counselling and psychological support to people living with more complex or severe mental health challenges. While I work with a wide range of individuals, I often support those dealing with trauma, addiction, anxiety, dissociation, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and post-traumatic stress.

Beyond my clinical practice, I’m also the co-founder of a social enterprise focused on developing accessible psychoeducational tools for practitioners and young people. This work was recognised with a Victorian Premier’s Design Award in 2024.

I am an LGBTQIA+ aware and affirmative clinician.
