Three beliefs that colour the way I work with my clients:

I believe…

That it’s essential to make sure we’re truly living, by prioritising our mental health, our values, and our sense of connection to others.

I believe…

That connection and understanding are powerful antidotes to feeling apart, alone, or ashamed.

I believe…

That if a problem is easy to solve then we tend to do that ourselves. For everything else, it’s worth seeking support.

Get to know me

My secret talent:
Patience – with others, yes, but often with myself!

What’s it like to be in a room with me?
My approach is to be open-minded, thoughtful and empathic so that anyone I work with can feel supported and understood without judgement. I’m a warm and down-to-earth clinician who values authenticity, curiosity, and the moments of shared humour that sometimes shine through during sessions.

Sessions with me are conversational and reflective spaces, where topics are explored and discussed collaboratively. I have a gentle style, but can be a compassionate ‘straight shooter’ where that’s needed or requested. I normally conclude most sessions with a couple of concepts to take away and think about or experiment with in between sessions.

What’s my non-negotiable when it comes to taking care of my own mental health?
I really feel that our mental wellbeing is not so different to our physical wellbeing. For me that means remembering to hold my mental health in mind, make space in my life for it, and prioritise it in varied and creative ways to ensure that it stays in good shape.

My life motto:
A ship in harbour is safe – but that’s not what ships are built for.

My background and experience

I finished my Master of Clinical Psychology in 2010, and since then I’ve worked in a variety of settings including community mental health services, alcohol and other drug services, and specialist services across NSW and Victorian public mental health. I have an extensive background in working with challenging emotional states such as anxiety, depression, shame, and anger; low self-worth and self-confidence; relationship difficulties; challenges with communication; coping strategies such as impulsivity, self-injury, dissociation or overcontrol; suicidality; and difficult early life experiences.

I have been working in private practice since 2025, which in addition to the above has brought a more recent focus on professional pressures, impostor syndrome and burnout, phobias, grief and loss, life changes and satisfaction, effective boundary setting, and relationship issues.

I have experience supporting LGBTQIA+ clients, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and I also provide neuroaffirming care.
