My background and experience

Melanie is a down-to-earth, personable and enthusiastic clinician, who strives to create an environment where individuals feel supported, understood, and comfortable to explore their current difficulties and individual strengths. Melanie believes in the importance of a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and aims to empower her clients to make meaningful changes so that they can live their best life.

Melanie was awarded a Master of Clinical Psychology, after completing her Undergraduate and Honours degrees in Behavioural Neuroscience and Psychology. Melanie is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist, Member of the Australian Psychological Society and a Board Approved Supervisor.

Over the course of her career, Melanie has worked in a broad range of settings including schools, private clinics and secure environments. She has extensive experience delivering both individual and group therapy, whilst working with a diverse range of issues, including people presenting with cognitive impairments and complex mental health needs.

Melanie is a reflective clinician, and consistently adds to her own professional development by attending training and supervision.
